Yarrow, Plantain, and Comfrey Salve
Only 1 left in stock
A pint of healing salve of wild crafted yarrow and plantain, and permaculture crafted comfrey.
This is a favorite daily use salve for my family and friends.
Made with USDA organic coconut and olive oils as the carrier (roughly half and half), organic bees wax, locally wild crafted yarrow and plantain, and comfrey grown in my own forest garden, this stuff is a great general use salve. I use it on my son’s eczema, everyone’s mosquito bites, all cuts and scrapes, and my own dry skin. I made it to be nourishing on many levels: yarrow for antimicrobial and bleeding control, plantain for bug bites, and comfrey for its intense healing properties, as well as quality oils.
I shared a few jars with friends and gave them that information, and they all love it and use it similarly to how I do.
The herbs are steeped in oil at 130*F for two to four days before being strained out and gently mixed with the beeswax. This is a BIG eight ounce jar that should last you a while.
The wild crafted herbs were harvested sustainably after the plants had gone to seed. This allowed them to put their seed out so that they’ll be back next year. The comfrey from my forest garden was cultivated and harvested responsibly, with plenty being returned to the soil from which it came. It makes a good fertilizer, and was used for my fruit trees. All herbs were dried thoroughly before being used to keep from importing any moisture to the oil which can contribute to spoilage.
Ingredients: Coconut oil, olive oil, beeswax, yarrow, plantain, comfrey.
My Notes RE Bartering:
Interested in bartering for plants, medicines, and daily use items that would keep me from spending money at the store.
You may scroll down to the Product Enquiry form to inquire about bartering with them and possibly setting up arrangements for a trade. All barters are facilitated privately between the parties involved. Barter at your own risk.
Shipping To These Countries
When shipping items, I typically reuse packaging that I've received from other purchases. I ship with USPS because it is along my usual driving route and does not increase my petroleum consumption. I don't drive this route daily, so it may take a 3-5 days to ship, but orders usually ship within two days. After shipping, a tracking number will be added to your order and you'll be notified of that update via email from HSCO.
I do not ship outside the lower 48, as it is cost prohibitive.
Returns & Exchanges
Foxfire Homestead does not officially accept returns. However, exceptions can be made on a case by case basis by contacting me at my email, on steem, on discord (nateonsteemit#1247), and on instagram. In the rare case that a return is authorized, return shipping must be covered by the purchaser and the product must be returned unused.
