I recently bragged about buying the book "Earthship Chronicles" by Alex Leeor. Today, when the book is read, I would like to share
with you my opinion about it. Of course, I am not a professional literary critic. I'm just a man who loves books
and builds my own house, with my own hands, so I have some experience and a look at the things described in this work. In a nutshell - its a great book. In general, the book of Alex, became the first book in English that I read and even for me, the person for whom English
language is not native, reading delivered real pleasure. Initially, I was a little embarrassed by the fact that Alex did not build his dream home on his own, but with the involvement of volunteers and contractors, but a little later, when I saw the scale of the works (with a roof for example), I agreed with Alex’s actions.Building alone would have continued until now and perhaps it would never have been completed. For those who want to learn some construction secrets from the book "Earthship Chronicles", I note that the book is not quite about construction, it is about Alex life, his personal experience, about his victories and mistakes. In the book there are no ready-made recipes for construction, no engineering calculations, for example, on the bearing capacity of the walls and generally few numbers, but it does not matter. In his work, Alex offered much more - he shared with readers a few tips, which the uninitiated person in the topic of self-construction may not immediately perceive, but they are very important, because it is not just advice, it is the truth, without awareness
which a novice Builder will not achieve positive results. I came to realize these truths through trial and error, and if I got Alex’s book in time, it would be easier for me, because I would know
that I am not alone in my reflections, that I am doing some things right, and some not. I highly recommend reading this book to all self-builders, regardless of their commitment to environmental ideas. Thank you so much, Alex.
