After having a personal exodus out of the rat race, Papa-pepper and family moved out into the Ozark Mountains in an attempt to drop the cost of living in order to increase the quality of life. By growing more of our own food, we not only decrease the grocery bill, but we have a trustworthy, healthy source of nourishment for our family.
We want to not only raise our children up to understand how the natural world works, but also to inspire others to live a life that is more connected to the real world.
How Its Made
We have been saving our own seeds for years now, and often never have to purchase them again. Even the smallest of our children like to help in the entire process from planting the original seeds to saving some for the next generation of crops. It is our hope that you will be able to do the same and grow food for years to come.
Our dried spices and herbs are also grown on our homestead using organic methods or hand-collected in the wild. We either dry them in the sun or dehydrate them to preserve them.
Our handcrafted items will vary, but are all the outcome of having beneficial hobbies that leave a lasting end result. If I spend an hour working with a wood-burner, the result will far outlast that of watching television for an hour.
Since we raise livestock for a variety of purposes including meat, we like to use all that we can of the animals. Out of respect for the animal, we try to let nothing go to waste. Often skulls and hides will make their way into some rustic decor.
Frequently Asked Questions
While we are not certified organic, we avoid all chemical fertilizers and pesticides and prefer an all natural approach to our gardening and animal husbandry. When it comes to our seeds, dried herbs and spices, if we wouldn't allow them in our bodies, then we wouldn't give them to others either.
Moreover, our life is a family affair, and even the smallest of our children like to help out when and where they can. Whatever we ship out may have never been off our property until we ship it to you, and it'll be our hands that produce and handle it.
Shipping To These Countries
At the moment, we will be focusing on shipments within the continental United States only. There are many customs and import laws for many things, and seed shipments are some of the ones that can be tricky to navigate at times.
We will do our best to get all orders processed and shipped within a week from the order date, especially since we know how it is to eagerly wait for a package.
Returns & Exchanges
In the event of a unsatisfactory or damaged shipment, we will work with our customers to achieve the best outcome possible. While we do not accept cancellations or returns, we do want you to be happy with your purchase.
We strive to produce only the highest quality of items and expect them to meet or exceed your expectations. If, however, for some reason our item falls short, we will consider replacing the item free of charge and reshipping the item to you.
